A PATH TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM
This information may or may not be for you. I created this page because I know professional athletes have experienced the highest highs one can imagine when you get in front of twenty to sixty thousand people, all screaming for or against you. It is sad to come to learn that there are many, many athletes who were formally heros, are now struggling financially. It is clear that not all athletes acted responsibly and planned for their retirement days as they could have.

I was not a professional athlete, but I have been a member of the entertainment industry since 1981. During that time, I saw many a celebrity living the highlife just to find themselves eventually become bankrupt or even homeless!
I have been involved with sports since I was five years old.
My dad took me to New York Yankee games, New York Met games, Knicks, Rangers and especially New York Giant games.
My dad was smart to get me involved with sports. Working for the largest New York City brewery at the time, he made friends everywhere he went. Some of those contacts he made with professional athletes were jumpstarted after he sent along a case of the best beer money could buy. Those contacts got us entry into places like New York Giant Saturday morning practices before the Sunday home game.
Here I am at Saturday morning practices at the old Yankee Stadium before Sunday home games.

I have admired many careers on the field, but I learned as a result of the interviews I have done on my podcast THE SUPER SPORTS COLLECTION SHOW, that many athletes are suffering financially after their retirement. I have been concerned for many years about the financial welfare of professional athletes after they are out of the limelight. After interviewing several professional athletes who were once on top of the world, I have come to learn what I most feared. Many did not protect themselves enough with longterm financial planning or were careless with their spending and now are struggling because of it. This message may not be for you directly, but I am sure you know some of your teammates or friends from other teams or sports who may be going through financial hardship.
